DVC celebrated the 71st Foundation Day on 7th July, 2018 with great aplomb and enthusiasm in the presence of Union Minister of State (IC), Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R. K. Singh, Minister for Power, West Bengal, Shri SobhandebChattopadhyay,Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Food & Supply Deptt., Jharkhand, Shri SaryuRai and Hon’ble Members of Parliament from Jharkhand and West Bengal.
The first multipurpose river valley project of Independent India has just completed 70 years of its eventful journey. As part of the celebration Shri Singh laid the foundation stone of Administrative Building of DVC, in New Town; inaugurated the Remote Control Room and launched the DVC Generation App ‘GEN TRAIL’ at DVC Towers and also released a Commemorative Volume on 70 years of its achievements.
