Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway inspects Mohri -Adarsh Nagar section of Delhi Division

New Delhi, Dec 18: General Manager, Northern Railway, Ashutosh Gangal conducted an extensive inspection of Mohri (near Ambala)- Adarsh Nagar(Delhi) Rail Section today. He was accompanied by Dimpy Garg, Divisional Railway Manager, Delhi, Principal Head of Departments of Northern Railway and Officers of Delhi Division.

Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager inspected Mohri Railway Station including safety aspects and working of the station. He inspected the renovated waiting hall in the old building at PF No. 02. He inspected gang no. 31 and working on small track machines and USFD. He also inspected the railway colony and park at Mohri.

At the next halting station at Kurukshetra GM inspected the safety aspects and working of the station. He also inaugurated Vijay Park. He also saw a display by the Welding team and automatic cleaning of insulators by TRD. He inspected the public announcement system in the parking & circulating area. He inaugurated a gang shelter/rest room/artisan staff room. He also inspected Kurukshetra station, circulating area/park, Selfie point, and solar water cooler. He also inspected Panorama, a pictorial exhibition on the holy city of Kurukshetra.

In the Bhaini Khurd – Karnal Section the General Manager inspected major bridge no. 196, minor bridge no. 194 and Curve no. 16.

At Karnal GM inspected Level Crossing No. 71-A, Turnout no. 78-B, Switch Expansion Joint no. 22 and track machine in Karnal Yard. He inspected the safety aspects and working of the station. He released the pocket booklet ‘Handbook on Benefits to Railway Employees’ and the pocket booklet ‘ Handbook of Operating procedure for station staff’ compiled by the Personnel and Operating Department of Delhi Division respectively. A new system of coach indication was also shown to the GM. A nukkad natak was also organised at the station.

In the Karnal- Bazida Jatan section, The General Manager inaugurated one Km long green patch developed by International Society for Human Values. GM also participated in tree plantation. In the Gharaunda – Babarpur Section, he inspected Level Crossing No. 62.

At Panipat Yard, GM inspected Point & Crossing no. 117-B and LWR no. 23. He inaugurated and inspected renovated Health Unit & HMIS. He also inspected the safety aspects and working of the station. He also inspected two coaches. He inspected the newly constructed Park, open gym and rain water harvesting in Panipat railway colony. He inaugurated and inspected the extended lobby and inspected the running room and Railway Colony. He also inspected station building and R.P.F. post. He also inaugurated the Model Station Superintendent Room.

GM also inspected coaches of Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains having salient features like automatic swing doors, engineered-leather seats and vinyl wrapping of interiors which were showcased among other passenger amenities features for the comfort of passengers. The automatic swing doors provide higher safety standards and also reduce chances of theft. Passengers can avail these features on the services of New Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi Express and will also experience the same on the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Jhansi Gatiman Express soon.

At the next halt Diwana yard, General Manager inaugurated control room and relay panel TSS and net zero energy Diwana station building. At the next halting station Sonipat GM inaugurated a newly renovated officer’s rest house at Sonipat railway station. A speed trial between Sonipat – Badli was also conducted.

The General Manager met members of the press and media and briefed them on the progress of various rail projects in the region. He also met members of ZRUCC/DRUCC, Railway Unions and Associations enroute. He also interacted with representatives of Dainik Yatri Sanghs and Rail passengers at various stations.
