New Delhi | April 28, 2026: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has been recognised by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) at the Swachhta Pakhwada Awards for both 2023 and 2024, reinforcing its continued focus on sustainability and cleanliness initiatives.
The company secured the Second Prize under Category B in 2023 and a Consolation Prize in 2024. MRPL was also commended for its efforts in promoting sanitation and driving public awareness across nearby communities.
Observed annually from July 1 to 15 under MoPNG’s guidance, Swachhta Pakhwada aligns with the broader Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, focusing on cleanliness drives and awareness campaigns.
MRPL had earlier secured the 4th Prize in the 2022 edition of the initiative. Category B includes CPSEs with an I&EBR target below ₹1,000 crore and all attached organisations under MoPNG.
The award was received on behalf of MRPL by Chander Mani, Patrick Rajesh Minz, and A.K. Mishra from MoPNG officials on April 28, 2026.
