New Delhi, Mar 09 REC Limited has committed ₹11.56 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to support the procurement of clinical and non-clinical equipment for Sankara Eye Hospital in Saharsa.
The funding aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and expand access to quality eye care services in the region. The project will be implemented by Sankara Eye Hospital and is expected to enhance the facility’s operational capacity to provide specialized eye treatment to patients from Saharsa and neighbouring districts.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on March 9, 2026, between Pradeep Fellows and V. Shankar at REC Limited’s office in the SCOPE Complex.
The initiative is expected to improve the availability of advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities, with a focus on delivering affordable eye care services to economically weaker sections.
Through this investment, REC Limited continues to expand its CSR footprint in the healthcare sector, supporting initiatives that strengthen medical infrastructure and improve access to quality healthcare in underserved regions.
