Mangaluru, March 5, 2026: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) observed National Safety Day at its Training Centre, aligning with this year’s theme, “Engage, Educate and Empower People to Enhance Safety,” and reiterating its focus on operational safety and risk mitigation.
Director (Refinery) Nandakumar V. Pillai underscored safety as the core mission of refinery operations, calling for strict adherence to standard operating procedures. Director (Finance) & CFO Devendra Kumar reaffirmed management’s commitment to backing all safety-led decisions and empowering employees at every level.
Senior leadership highlighted continuous engagement, training and accountability as critical to preventing incidents and safeguarding people, assets and the environment.
The programme included a multilingual Safety Pledge, presentation of the Annual Fire & Safety Activity Report, and recognition of safety excellence awardees.
