New Delhi, Dec 27: Northeast Frontier Railway’s Alipurduar Division set a record by renewing 1,033 track metres in a single day using the Plasser’s Quick Relaying System (PQRS).
This milestone, achieved on December 23, showcases the effective use of mechanized track technology and optimized operational strategies. The overall track renewal program spans 290.8 km, with significant contributions from various divisions.
PQRS, noted for its compactness and efficiency, allows for rapid rail replacement and minimizes maintenance costs, demonstrating NFR’s commitment to modern infrastructure and maintenance efficiency.
