Mumbai, Dec 24: Maharashtra’s Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has approved the Zilla Karmayogi Program 2.0 and Sarpanch Samvad Program to enhance development at various administrative levels.
Training will target approximately 85,000 officials to improve skills for boosting district GDP, supporting MSMEs and Farmer-Producer Organisations. A tripartite agreement will facilitate training for 20,000 Sarpanches, focusing on government scheme implementation and women’s empowerment through e-learning.
The Cabinet also authorized appointments of 291 bonded Health Assistants and approved land allotment for a statue of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe. Additionally, an ordinance will amend the Maharashtra Municipal Councils Act to enable directly elected Presidents to hold dual roles and grant them voting rights in councils.
