New Delhi, Dec 16: India’s Ministry of Power is fostering international partnerships for power generation, transmission, and distribution, engaging with multilateral platforms like G20, BRICS, and the International Solar Alliance.
The government is implementing significant reforms to modernize the power sector, including new rules for timely payment by utilities and promoting renewable energy access.
Measures include smart metering initiatives worth Rs 2,83,525 crore and support for AI and ML solutions to enhance operational efficiency and consumer analytics. Public sector undertakings also engage in international commercial agreements to meet business needs.
