New Delhi, Oct 18: Uno Minda Group’s Executive Chairman Nirmal Kumar Minda has been elected as President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), while Axis Bank Managing Director and CEO Amitabh Chaudhry has been elected as the new senior Vice-President.
Their appointments are subject to approval from the Reserve Bank of India. Minda, with extensive experience in the auto industry, replaces Sorin Investment Fund founder and Chairman Sanjay Nayar.
He has made significant contributions to shaping the auto industry supply chain over the last five decades. Chaudhry, who has a 38-year career across various sectors, said that ASSOCHAM would continue to be an active partner of the government in nation-building.
