New Delhi, Sept 23: THDC India Limited has commenced commercial operations of the 2nd Unit (660 MW) of the Khurja Super Thermal Power Project (2×660 MW) in Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated virtually by Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power.
The project aims to enhance power supply and energy security in Uttar Pradesh, playing a vital role in meeting the state’s energy needs. Dignitaries, including A. K. Sharma, Minister of Energy, praised the project for its timely execution and contribution to India’s energy sector.
The plant, featuring ultra-supercritical technology, is designed to produce 9,264 MU of power annually and supports regional development and reliability in power infrastructure. THDC India’s partnership with NTPC and the Uttar Pradesh government underscores its commitment to this initiative.
