New Delhi, Sept 17: Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy has launched a new uniform, a Corporate Salary Package (CSP), and enhanced ex-gratia benefits for the Coal India workforce.

The CSP aims to provide modern banking services and financial stability, including Rs 1 crore personal accident insurance for regular employees and Rs 40 lakh for contract workers, with no employee premiums.

The new uniform is intended to promote safety, professionalism, and unity. Additionally, ex-gratia payments for mine accident fatalities have been increased from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 25 lakh for both regular and contract workers, aligning with the Prime Minister’s “Workers First” vision.
