New Delhi, Dec 30: REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power and a leading NBFC, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
REC has committed financial assistance of Rs. 2.92 Cr. for the procurement of medical equipment/items in the field hospitals of ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police), Ministry of Home Affairs for the benefit of the force personnel, their families, dependents, Ex-CAPF & civilian population at Leh (2 nos.), Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh (1 no.), Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh (1 no.), Dehradun in Uttrakhand (1 no.) & Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh (1 no.), to be implemented by REC Foundation.
The agreement was signed on 30th Dec. 2024 between Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director, CSR, REC and S.C Mamgain, Inspector General (Admin), ITBP.
At the event, Pradeep Fellows shared his thoughts and said “By addressing the unique healthcare needs of these regions, we are not only supporting the brave ITBP personnel but also fostering a healthier, more resilient community.
This initiative is a testament to our commitment to improving the lives of those who serve and protect us, as well as the communities they live in and thus make a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of these remote and often overlooked areas,”
The procurement and installation of advanced medical equipment in ITBP field hospitals at locations such as Leh, Itanagar, Dehradun, Lucknow, and Naryanpur will significantly enhance healthcare delivery. This initiative will enable faster diagnostics, better patient care, and timely medical interventions, especially in high-altitude and underserved areas, including those residing in Naxalite areas.
Approximately 1,50,000 ITBP personnel and local civilians will benefit from these upgraded facilities. The improvements will reduce patient wait times, enhance critical care, and ensure the continuity of essential medical services. This means that both ITBP personnel and the local communities will have access to the quality healthcare they deserve, bringing peace of mind and better health outcomes to those living in these challenging environments.

आरईसी लिमिटेड ने आईटीबीपी के चिकित्सा बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ाने के लिए सीएसआर
के तहत 2.92 करोड़ रुपये देने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई
आरईसी लिमिटेड, विद्युत मंत्रालय के तहत महारत्न सीपीएसई और प्रमुख एनबीएफसी, ने अपने कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व (सीएसआर) पहल के तहत भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (आईटीबीपी) के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओए) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। आरईसी ने आईटीबीपी (भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस), गृह मंत्रालय के क्षेत्रीय अस्पतालों में चिकित्सा उपकरण/वस्तुओं की खरीद के लिए 2.92 करोड़ रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता देने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई है। यह सहायता बल कर्मियों, उनके परिवारों, आश्रितों, पूर्व सीएपीएफ और नागरिक आबादी के लाभ के लिए लेह (2), छत्तीसगढ़ के नारायणपुर (1), अरुणाचल प्रदेश के ईटानगर (1), उत्तराखंड के देहरादून (1) और उत्तर प्रदेश के लखनऊ (1) में है, जिसे आरईसी फाउंडेशन द्वारा कार्यान्वित किया जाएगा।
इस समझौते पर 30 दिसंबर 2024 को श्री प्रदीप फैलो, कार्यकारी निदेशक, सीएसआर, आरईसी और श्री एस.सी. ममगाईं, महानिरीक्षक (प्रशासन), आईटीबीपी के बीच हस्ताक्षर किए गए।
इस कार्यक्रम में श्री प्रदीप फेलो ने अपने विचार साझा करते हुए कहा, “इन क्षेत्रों की अनूठी स्वास्थ्य सेवा आवश्यकताओं को संबोधित करके, हम न केवल बहादुर आईटीबीपी कर्मियों का समर्थन कर रहे हैं, बल्कि एक स्वस्थ, अधिक लचीला समुदाय भी विकसित कर रहे हैं। यह पहल उन लोगों के जीवन को बेहतर बनाने की हमारी प्रतिबद्धता का प्रमाण है जो हमारी सेवा और रक्षा करते हैं, साथ ही वे जिस समुदाय में रहते हैं, उसके जीवन को बेहतर बनाते हैं और इस प्रकार इन दूरदराज और अक्सर अनदेखा किए जाने वाले क्षेत्रों के स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण में एक सार्थक अंतर लाते हैं।”
लेह, ईटानगर, देहरादून, लखनऊ और नारायणपुर जैसे स्थानों पर आईटीबीपी के फील्ड अस्पतालों में उन्नत चिकित्सा उपकरणों की खरीद और स्थापना से स्वास्थ्य सेवा वितरण में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि होगी। इस पहल से तेजी से निदान, बेहतर रोगी देखभाल और समय पर चिकित्सा हस्तक्षेप संभव होगा, खासकर ऊंचाई वाले और वंचित क्षेत्रों में, जिनमें नक्सली इलाकों में रहने वाले लोग भी शामिल हैं।
इन उन्नत सुविधाओं से लगभग 1,50,000 आईटीबीपी कर्मियों और स्थानीय नागरिकों को लाभ मिलेगा। इन सुधारों से मरीजों के इंतजार का समय कम होगा, गंभीर देखभाल में सुधार होगा और आवश्यक चिकित्सा सेवाओं की निरंतरता सुनिश्चित होगी। इसका मतलब है कि आईटीबीपी कर्मियों और स्थानीय समुदायों दोनों को ही गुणवत्तापूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्राप्त होगी जिसके वे हकदार हैं, जिससे इन चुनौतीपूर्ण वातावरण में रहने वाले लोगों को मानसिक शांति और बेहतर स्वास्थ्य परिणाम मिलेंगे।
