New Delhi, Aug 24: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a Mini-Ratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, is now ISO 14001:2015 certified, an internationally recognized standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
This certification covers RailTel’s administration and management of Nationwide Broadband Telecom and Multimedia Network to Supplement Growth of National Telecom Infra, Internet, Digital India & IT Enabled Value-Added Services in All Parts of the Country Specially in Rural Areas.
By achieving this ISO 14001:2015 certification, RailTel reaffirms its commitment not only to regulatory compliance but also to environment protection. This standard aids in achieving climate neutrality through carbon footprint reduction and greenhouse gas mitigation, while also enhancing resilience and adaptability in the face of climate change.
