New Delhi: Continuing it’s eventful journey of disseminating the benifits of India’s ancient system of holistic treatment through Ayurveda, peoples’foundation in collaboration with prestigious All India institute of Ayurveda, ministry of Ayush, organised a day long ,we’ll attended Free medical health checkup camp and medicine distribution on Saturday in Tihar Jail, New Delhi. The camp was held for the inmates and staff of central Jail no 1 . The camp focussed on diagnosis and treatment of lifestyle disorders such as BP, Diabetes, Thyroid, Breathing problem, Asthma, Digestive disorders, skin disease, Renal issue, Arthritis etc.In this camp in two sessions Doctors from AiiA examined about 300 prisoners patients and distributed Medicines for 30 days.
In last two years, peoples’foundation has held 3 Ayurveda health camps in Tihar Jail. All India institute of Ayurveda, premium research institute and hospital, under its public outreach program to spread benifits of Ayurveda to common man as a part of India’s azadi ka amrit mahotsav, has teamed up with peoples’foundation in Delhi-NCR for this purpose.
The camp was inaugurated by Raj Kumar,Danics, jail superintendent, Dr Ramakant yadava, Associate professor and camp head from AiiA and V. N jha, president of peoples’foundation. A Team of 14 doctors, pharmacists, paramedics, coordinators and volunteers of peoples’foundation led by Dheeraj Tomar made this camp a huge success.
