New Delhi, Sept 10: Oil India Limited, a fullyintegrated oil & gas Maharatna CPSE held its 64^thAnnual General Meeting (AGM) on 09^thSeptember 2023. Dr Ranjit Rath, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD)in his address to the shareholders,thanked all investors and shareholdersfor their continuous trust & investment in the company leading OIL to join the league of MaharatnaCPSEs of the Country.

Dr Rath in his address highlighted the achievements of the OIL on various fronts including the production of Crude Oil and natural gaswhich recorded a growth of 5.5% (3.18MMT) and 4.4% (3.18 BCM) respectively. The company registered the highest-ever standalone profit after tax (PAT) in FY 2022-23 at ₹6,810 crore, a growth of 75.20% YoY while the consolidated PAT was also the highest ever at ₹9,854 crore, a growth of 46.66% YoY.

Dr Rath mentioned that marching towards fulfilling the vision of UrjaAtmnirbharta for a New India, OIL’s strategy is to consolidate its position as the leading operator in the country with the long-term vision to supplement the existing domestic reserves portfolio in line with the Government of India’s vision to intensify exploration in Indian Sedimentary Basins and increase domestic oil and gas production. The Company has increased its total operating acreage to 62,911 Sq Km. Aggressive exploration of the company led to a new hydrocarbon discovery during the year in the Sesabil area in the Assam Shelf Basin. OIL has 2P reserve base of 191 MMTOE and 51 MMTOE of Oil & Oil Equivalent of Gas respectively in domestic assets and overseas assets.

Speaking to the shareholders, Dr Rath highlighted that following the clarion call of the Hon’ble PrimeMinister, OIL has set for itself an ambitious target of transforming itself to a ‘Net-Zero’ emission company by 2040 through a range of initiatives, including adopting cleaner energy sources, investing in renewable energy projects and implementing advanced technologies to minimize greenhouse gas emissions for which about Rs. 25,000 Cr is envisaged to be invested by 2040.

Acknowledging the indomitable spirit, resilience and determination of OIL’s Energy Warriors, Dr. Rath expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Central and State Governments and other esteemed stakeholders of OIL. He reiterated OIL’s commitment to national priorities towardsthe energy security of the country through enhanced exploration and expedited production under Mission 4+ by increasing crude oil production to 4MMT and natural gasproducttion to 5 BCM.

ऑयल इंडिया लिमिटेड, जो पूर्ण रूप से एकीकृत तेल और गैस महारत्न सीपीएसई है, ने 09 सितंबर 2023 को अपनी 64^वीं वार्षिक आम बैठक (एजीएम) आयोजित की।अध्यक्ष एवंप्रबंध निदेशक (सीएमडी) डॉ.रंजीत रथ ने अपने संबोधन में सभी निवेशकों और शेयरधारकों को धन्यवाद दिया। कंपनी में उनकी सतत आस्‍था और निवेश ने ओआईएल को देश के महारत्न सीपीएसई की लीग में शामिल कर दिया है।

डॉ. रथ ने अपने संबोधन में कच्चे तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस के उत्पादन सहित विभिन्न मोर्चों पर ओआईएल की उपलब्धियों पर प्रकाश डाला, जिसमें क्रमशः 5.5% (3.18एमएमटी) और 4.4% (3.18 बीसीएम) की वृद्धि दर्ज की गई। कंपनी ने वित्त वर्ष 2022-23में ₹6,810 करोड़ का अब तक का सबसे अधिक पृथक(स्टैंडअलोन) लाभ दर्ज किया, जो सालाना 75.20% की वृद्धि है, जबकि समेकित कर पश्‍चात् लाभ भी अब तक का सबसे अधिक ₹9,854 करोड़ था, जो सालाना आधार पर 46.66% की वृद्धि है।

डॉ. रथ ने कहाकि नए भारत के लिए ऊर्जाआत्मनिर्भरता के दृष्टिकोण को पूरा करने की दिशा में आगे बढ़ते हुए, ओआईएल की रणनीति भारतीय तलछट बेसिनमें अन्वेषण तेज करने तथाघरेलू तेल और गैस उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए भारत सरकार के विज़न के अनुसार मौजूदा घरेलू रिजर्व पोर्टफोलियो को दीर्घावधि में पूरक बनाने के दृष्टिकोण के साथ देश में अग्रणी ऑपरेटर के रूप में अपनी स्थिति को मजबूत करना है। कंपनी ने अपना कुल प्रचालन क्षेत्र बढ़ाकर 62,911 वर्ग कि.मी. कर लिया है। कंपनी के व्‍यापकअन्वेषण से वर्ष के दौरान असम शेल्फ बेसिन में सेसबिल क्षेत्र में एक नई हाइड्रोकार्बन की खोज हुई। ओआईएल के पास घरेलू परिसंपत्तियों और विदेशी परिसंपत्तियों में क्रमशः 191 एमएमटीओई और 51 एमएमटीओई तेल और तेल समकक्षगैस का 2पी भंडार आधार है।

शेयरधारकों से बात करते हुए, डॉ. रथ ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि माननीय प्रधानमंत्री के आह्वान के बाद, ओआईएल ने कई पहलों के माध्यम से 2040 तक खुद को ‘नेट-ज़ीरो’ उत्सर्जन कंपनी में बदलने का एक महत्वाकांक्षी लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है, जिसमें स्वच्छ ऊर्जा स्रोतों को अपनाना, नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा परियोजनाओं में निवेश करना और ग्रीनहाउस गैस उत्सर्जन को कम करने के लिए उन्नत प्रौद्योगिकियों को लागू करना शामिल है,जिसके लिए 2040 तक लगभग25,000 करोड़रुपए के निवेश की परिकल्पना की गई है।

ओआईएल के ऊर्जा योद्धाओं की अदम्य भावना, परिस्‍थितियों से उबरने की क्षमता और दृढ़ संकल्प की सराहना करते हुए, डॉ. रथ ने पेट्रोलियम एवंप्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय, केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों और ओआईएल के अन्य सम्मानित हितधारकों के प्रति अपना आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कच्चे तेल के उत्पादन को 4एमएमटीऔर प्राकृतिक गैस के उत्पादन को 5 बीसीएमतक बढ़ाकर मिशन 4+के तहत उन्नत अन्वेषण और त्वरित उत्पादन के माध्यम से देश की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा औरराष्ट्रीय प्राथमिकताओं के प्रति ओआईएलकी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई।
