Chennai, Aug 15: NLC India Limited’s Regional Office, Chennai has celebrated 77th Independence Day with full patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on August 15, 2023 at Kilpauk, Chennai.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Prabhu Kishore, Executive Director/ Chief Regional Manager and singing of the National Anthem. Speaking on the occasion, Prabhu Kishore extended his greetings to all employees and recalled the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters who laid down their lives to emancipate Bharat Mata from the clutches of the British. All employees also paid homage to the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, by garlanding his portrait.
On this occasion, message of Prasanna kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLC India Limited was also read by Uday Shankar, Company Secretary. Earlier, all employees took a selfie with the National Flag and uploaded the same on the website and also used as display pictures (DPs) on their social media handles as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Around 80 senior officers, employees including contract workers along with their family members were present on the occasion.
