NHPC Celebrates 77th Independence Day

Faridabad, Aug 15: NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company celebrated India’s 77^th Independence Day on 15^th August 2023 at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad with full patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebration began with the hoisting of National flag by R.K. Vishnoi, CMD, NHPC and singing of National Anthem. R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC, Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC and other senior NHPC officers and employees alongwith their family members were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, R.K. Vishnoi extended his greetings to the entire NHPC family on Independence Day. He stated that Independence was attained with great efforts and sacrifices by our freedom fighters and this puts greater responsibility on all of us to contribute towards our nation as a team. Vishnoi said that Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has stressed on the importance of renewable energy. He added that NHPC is already a 100% green energy company. He commended the hard work of NHPC employees working at various Power Stations & projects and also appreciated the endeavours of NHPC’s employees towards growth of its Renewable Energy portfolio. He also congratulated the Power station teams who rectified the damage caused to 3 power stations in Himachal Pradesh due to recent flash floods and restored the generation in a short span.

Vishnoi further informed that last year, NHPC made a record CAPEX of Rs 7800 Crore. The target has been increased to over Rs 10,800 Crore during the current financial year. CMD, NHPC informed that NHPC is soon poised to be among the top 10 hydropower companies in the world and each & every employee should work towards achieving this goal. On this occasion R.K. Vishnoi also announced new benefits for the NHPC employees including providing laptops for all its employees and extra benefits to its contract staff. Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC also addressed the gathering and said that NHPC is proactively concerned about the welfare for its employees and has introduced special policies for maternal care.

On this occasion, a pledge taking ceremony was also organized wherein CMD, NHPC administered ‘Panch Pran’ Shapath under “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign being celebrated as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations of the Government of India. On this occasion, CMD, NHPC also released “Cyber Security Policy version 4.0” of NHPC.

एनएचपीसी ने मनाया 77वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस

भारत की अग्रणी जलविद्युत कंपनी एनएचपीसी लिमिटेड ने 15 अगस्त, 2023 को एनएचपीसी निगम मुख्यालय, फरीदाबाद में देशभक्ति के जोश और उत्साह के साथ भारत का 77वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस मनाया । इस समारोह की शुरुआत, श्री आर.के. विश्नोई, सीएमडी, एनएचपीसी द्वारा राष्ट्रीय ध्वजारोहण व राष्ट्रगान से हुई। इस अवसर पर श्री आर.पी. गोयल, निदेशक (वित्त), एनएचपीसी, श्री उत्तम लाल, निदेशक (कार्मिक), एनएचपीसी और एनएचपीसी के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी और कार्मिक अपने परिवार के सदस्यों के साथ उपस्थित थे।

इस अवसर, श्री आर.के. विश्नोई ने पूरे एनएचपीसी परिवार को स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं दीं। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के महान प्रयासों और बलिदानों से स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त हुई है और एक टीम के रूप में अपने राष्ट्र के प्रति योगदान करने के लिए हम सभी पर एक बड़ी जिम्मेदारी है । श्री विश्नोई जी ने कहा कि भारत के माननीय प्रधानमंत्री ने नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के महत्व पर जोर दिया है । उन्होंने कहा कि एनएचपीसी पहले से ही 100% हरित ऊर्जा कंपनी है। उन्होंने विभिन्न पावर स्टेशनों और परियोजनाओं में कार्य करने वाले एनएचपीसी के कार्मिकों की कड़ी मेहनत की प्रशंसा की और अपने नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा पोर्टफोलियो के विकास के लिए एनएचपीसी के कार्मिकों के प्रयासों की भी सराहना की। उन्होंने पावर स्टेशन की टीमों को भी बधाई दी, जिन्होंने हाल ही में हिमाचल प्रदेश में आई बाढ़ के कारण क्षतिग्रस्त हुए 3 पावर स्टेशनों को ठीक करके कम समय में विद्युत का पुन : उत्पादन शुरू कर दिया है।

श्री विश्नोई ने यह भी बताया कि पिछले वर्ष एनएचपीसी ने 7800 करोड़ रुपए का रिकॉर्ड पूंजीगत व्यय (कैपेक्स) किया था। चालू वित्त वर्ष के दौरान इस लक्ष्य को बढ़ाकर 10,800 करोड़ रुपए से अधिक कर दिया गया है। सीएमडी, एनएचपीसी ने बताया कि एनएचपीसी शीघ्रता से दुनिया की शीर्ष 10 जलविद्युत कंपनियों में शामिल होने की ओर अग्रसर है और प्रत्येक कार्मिक को इस लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने की दिशा में कार्य करते रहना चाहिए। इस अवसर पर श्री आर.के. विश्नोई ने सभी कार्मिकों के लिए लैपटॉप और एनएचपीसी के संविदा कर्मचारियों को अतिरिक्त लाभ प्रदान करने सहित एनएचपीसी कार्मिकों के लिए नए लाभों की भी घोषणा की है। एनएचपीसी के निदेशक (कार्मिक) श्री उत्तम लाल ने भी सभा को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि एनएचपीसी अपने कार्मिकों के कल्याण के बारे में सक्रिय रूप से चिंतित है और मातृत्व देखभाल के लिए विशेष नीतियों की शुरुआत की हैं।

इस अवसर पर एक शपथ ग्रहण समारोह भी आयोजित किया गया जिसमें सीएमडी, एनएचपीसी ने भारत सरकार के ‘आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव’ समारोह के अंतर्गत मनाए जा रहे “मेरी माटी मेरा देश” अभियान के तहत ‘पंच प्रण शपथ’ दिलाई। इस अवसर पर सीएमडी, एनएचपीसी ने एनएचपीसी की “साइबर सुरक्षा नीति संस्करण 4.0” भी जारी किया।
