NHPC Empowers Students With Awareness Programme Under'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' And 'LAHAR'

Faridabad, Aug 10: NHPC organized an awareness programme under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘LAHAR’ at MurariLal Senior Secondary School, Faridabad on 09.08.2023. U.S. Sahi, Executive Director (Corporate Communication), NHPC was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

In his address to the students, the Chief Guest, U.S. Sahi, Executive Director (Corporate Communication), NHPC said that the country needs large hydropower projects to generate clean energy. He also informed the students about the various benefits of hydroelectricity.

On this occasion, a speech competition on the topic ‘The need for large hydroelectric projects for generating clean energy in India’ was organized for the students of Murari Lal Senior Secondary School, Faridabad, in which the students participated enthusiastically. During the event, video clips on the topic ‘Benefits from Large Hydroelectric Projects’ produced by NHPC were shown and a lecture on ‘Role of NHPC in Nation Building’ was also delivered by Suraj Dhiman, General Manager (Mechanical), NHPC.

The LAHAR (Large Hydro Active Reach Out) initiative has been launched by the Ministry of Power, Government of India with the objective to inform the public about benefits of hydro projects in the country.

Kumari Monika, Kumari Nidhi and Master Pushpendra Kumar won the first, second and third prize respectively in the speech competition. The winners of the competition were awarded by the chief guest.

आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव और ‘लहर’ के अंतर्गत जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन

एनएचपीसी द्वारा दिनांक 09.08.2023 को ‘आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव’ और ‘लहर’ के अंतर्गत एक जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन मुरारीलाल सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल, फ़रीदाबाद में किया गया। श्री यू.एस. साही, कार्यपालक निदेशक (कॉर्पोरेट संचार), एनएचपीसी इस कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित थे।

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि श्री यू.एस. साही, कार्यपालक निदेशक (कॉर्पोरेट संचार), एनएचपीसी ने विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि स्वच्छ ऊर्जा उत्पादन हेतु इस देश को बड़ी जलविद्युत परियोजनाओं की आवश्यकता है। साथ ही, उन्होंने जलविद्युत से होने वाले विभिन्न लाभों के बारे में भी विद्यार्थियों को अवगत कराया।

इस अवसर पर मुरारीलाल सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल, फ़रीदाबाद के विद्यार्थियों के बीच ‘भारत में स्वच्छ ऊर्जा उत्पादन हेतु बड़ी जलविद्युत परियोजनाओं की आवश्यकता’ विषय पर भाषण प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें स्कूल के विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़-चढ़ कर भाग लिया। साथ ही, कार्यक्रम के दौरान ‘बड़ी जलविद्युत परियोजनाओं से लाभ’ विषय पर एनएचपीसी द्वारा निर्मित वीडियो क्लिप्स का प्रदर्शन और ‘राष्ट्र निर्माण में एनएचपीसी की भूमिका’ पर श्री सूरज धीमन, महाप्रबंधक (यांत्रिक), एनएचपीसी द्वारा व्याख्यान दिया गया।
