Punjab National Bank celebrated 153rd Birth Anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai, the founder of the Bank and also popularly known as Punjab Kesari, at its Head Office premises located at Sector 10 Dwarka, New Delhi. On this occasion, floral tribute was paid by Shri Sunil Mehta, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank alongwith Sh.K.V. Brahmaji Rao, Shri Sanjiv Sharan, Executive Directors of the Bank, Shri Satish K Nagpal, Chief Vigilance Officer alongwith other senior officials of the Bank. A large number of staff members were also present on the occasion.
Shri Sunil Mehta, Managing Director & CEO on this occasion narrated the sacrifices made by Lala Lajpat Rai, Indian Freedom fighter, who also played a pivotal role in the Indian Independence movement. He called upon the staff to follow the path shown by Lala Lajpat Rai and implement the same in true spirit for growth of the Bank.
