Agra, Aug 22 The union tourism ministry has cleared a proposal to introduce e-ticketing for visitors interested in night viewing of the iconic Taj Mahal here two days before and two days after the full moon, officials said on Friday.
Minister of State for Tourism Mahesh Sharma on Wednesday indicated that the facility would be introduced shortly.
The manual tickets which need to be booked in advance shall be discontinued. The tourists can now book a ticket till 3 p.m. the same day.
The Archaeological Survey of India has already developed facilities at the Mehtab Bagh to enable tourists to see the Taj Mahal from different angles.
