New Delhi, June 15 Governor of Goa Mridula Sinha today met Arun Jaitley, Minister of Finance and Information and Broadcasting and M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of Urban Development.
She briefed on political and social situations in Goa. She informed them about various innovative programmes started in Goa Raj Bhavan by her, i.e. Chand ke Sath Sath to save energy; Sacchi Dosti to bridge gaps in students from public and private school. She also informed some of new social practices to be taken by Raj Bhavan Goa at her initiative.
As Goa Governor is the Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of Prime Minister, she discussed activities taken by her in Goa and different parts of India. Urban Development Minister was please to hear her thoughts for the same. Governor penned a pledge and song for children for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to inculcate awareness for cleanliness which she made hear to both Union Minister.
She drew attention of Union Minister for Urban Development for making provisions for parents in urban flats. She also gave suggestions for Swachhta Shram Samman to be announced by Government of India.
While speaking to Union Finance and Information & Broadcasting Minster she advised him to promote films and serials on social and cultural themes and make it productive for society as said by OSD to The Governor of Goa, Anshuman Abhishek.
