Oil India Limited (OIL), the second largest national E&P Company in the country, celebrated, the World Environment Day (WED)-2018 on 5th June, 2018, at its Corporate Office in Noida, with whole-hearted enthusiasm and commitment to the cause. Various events were organised during the day long program which was celebrated around the theme for this year, “Beat Plastic Pollution”, which urges us to reduce use of plastic in all our day to day activities.
The program was attended by Shri Utpal Bora, Chairman & Managing Director,OIL along with the members on the Board of OIL. As part of the WED 2018 celebrations, ceremonial Tree plantation was organised, along with screening of a documentary film (made by OIL) on “Global Warming”. Also, saplings were distributed and an environmental quiz for the employeeswas also conducted.
The World Environment Day-2018 was also celebrated in all other spheres of the organisation across the country, including OIL Field Headquarters (FHQ) in Duliajan, Assam.
