New Delhi, Dec 22 As per the latest tweet Delhi Traffic Police has issued traffic advisory for closer of Ashram Flyover from December 25 for a period of 45 days.
Commuters travelling from Delhi to Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida will have to take alternative routes because of this closure of Ashram Flyover which will be restricted or diverted.
Delhi PWD will be undertaking the construction of the Ashram flyover is expected to be closed to complete the integration of the existing flyover with the Ashram extension flyover connecting the DND.
Traffic Advisory
Due to the extension of the Ashram Flyover to the New DND Flyover, both carriageways of the Ashram Flyover road will remain closed for 45 days from 25.12.22. The ₹128.25 crore project is a six-lane, 1.42-km-long flyover that is being extended from the existing Ashram overpass to DND, with ramps for traffic from Sarai Kale Khan. Once the project is complete, it is expected to help make the 9-km stretch from Moolchand flyover till Noida’s Rajnigandha Chowk signal-free. A subway for pedestrians at the Maharani Bagh traffic light is also being built.
What is expected :
- Both carriageways of the Ashram Flyover Road could see traffic snarls
- Commuters advised to use public transport and plan their trip to railway stations & airports well in advance.
- Traffic on Outer Ring Road, DND Flyover, both side carriageways passing through Ashram Chowk and the Mathura Road will be affected.
Sideways of both main carriageways will remain functional during this period. The roads where traffic may be restricted or diverted are Outer Ring Road, DND Flyover, both side carriageways passing through Ashram Chowk and the Mathura Road.
With the closure of the Ashram flyover, the traffic pressure on Barapulla carriageway, Kalindi Kunj, Mathura Road and ITO flyover will increase significantly. To provide some relief, traffic will be allowed to pass through the ramp of the flyover.
