New Delhi, Dec 06 :Chennai, the capital city of Tamilnadu State, is grappling with the flood due to incessant and heavy rainand caused inundation of many areas in the cityby Michaung cyclone.To supplement the efforts of Chennai Corporation, yesterday NLC India Limited has come forward to lend a helping hand by sending 16 numbers of giant high capacity pumpswhich are used in NLC lignite Mines.Required NLCIL engineersalong withtechniciansfrom all the three NLCIL Mines have left for Chennai with high capacity giant motor pumps to help drain the water at the earliest in the waterlogged areas.

The Michaung Cyclone battered Chennai city with very heavy downpours on Monday. Many streets, arterial roads and low lying areas have become inundated with rain water.The Chennai Corporation is already at full swing engagingtheir resources in removing the flood waters with the help of giant motor pumps. It is worth to note that these powerful NLCIL motor pumps,being used in Lignite Mines are capable of pumping out stagnant water quickly at high rate with a view to bring normalcy by clearing the stagnant water in the waterlogged areas.
