NHPC Signs Memorandum of Agreement with IIT Jammu for undertaking R&D Activities

Faridabad, Sept 26: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for availing the services of IIT Jammu for undertaking R&D activities in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology has been signed on 26.09.2022 between NHPC Limited and IIT Jammu in the august presence of Yamuna Kumar Chaubey, CMD, NHPC and R. P. Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC.

NHPC Limited has already an established R&D division undertaking various innovative initiatives in different fields of Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Hydro Power Projects/Stations. This MoA will further provide an impetus to Research & Development activities with a new zeal.

S. L. Kapil, Executive Director (R&D) and Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu signed the MoA on behalf of NHPC Limited and IIT Jammu respectively. On the occasion of signing ceremony, Prof. Kannan Iyer, Dean, IIT Jammu, Prof. Manoj Agarwal, IIT Jammu, Dr. Nitin Joshi, IIT Jammu, Executive Directors/HoDs posted at NHPC Corporate Office and officers of R&D division were also present.

एनएचपीसी ने अनुसंधान एवं विकास गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने हेतु आईआईटी जम्मू के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।

विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी और तकनीकी के क्षेत्र में अनुसंधान एवं विकास गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने हेतु आईआईटी जम्मू एवं एनएचपीसी लिमिटेड के मध्य एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओए) पर दिनांक 26.09.2022 को हस्ताक्षर किए गए। यह हस्ताक्षर श्री यमुना कुमार चौबे, सीएमडी, एनएचपीसी, श्री आर पी गोयल, निदेशक (वित्त) की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में की गयी।

एनएचपीसी लिमिटेड के पास पहले से ही एक स्थापित अनुसंधान व विकास विभाग है जो हाइड्रो पावर परियोजनाओं/पावर स्टेशनों के निर्माण, संचालन और रखरखाव के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में अनेक नवीन पहल करता है। समझौता ज्ञापन नए उत्साह के साथ अनुसंधान एवं विकास गतिविधियों को और गति प्रदान करेगा।

श्री एस. एल. कपिल, कार्यपालक निदेशक (अनुसंधान व विकास) और प्रो. मनोज सिंह गौड़, निदेशक, आईआईटी जम्मू ने क्रमशः एनएचपीसी लिमिटेड और आईआईटी जम्मू की ओर से समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए। हस्ताक्षर समारोह के अवसर पर प्रो. कन्नन अय्यर, डीन, आईआईटी जम्मू, प्रो. मनोज अग्रवाल, आईआईटी जम्मू, डॉ नितिन जोशी, आईआईटी जम्मू, एनएचपीसी निगम मुख्यालय में तैनात कार्यपालक निदेशकगण /विभागाध्यक्षगण और अनुसंधान व विकास विभाग के अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे।
