New Delhi, July 20 Manish Desai, IIS has been appointed as Director General, Central Bureau of Communication (CBC). He succeeds Satyendra Prakash, IIS who has been appointed as DG, PIB under the aegis of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
An officer of 1989 batch of IIS, Manish Desai during his career spanning nearly three decades has worked in various media units of the Ministry of I&B, like DAVP, AIR News, Prasar Bharati, and the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
Earlier, Desai had worked for nearly a decade in PIB Mumbai as Director and Addl.Director General looking after government communication. He was also the DG, Films Division during 2016-18.
