Actor Inayat Sood shared her thoughts about Bollywood on Instagram. She asked why many famous actors do not speak about national issues. Her post discussed the Cockroach Janta Party protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

Sood played Ajay Devgn’s daughter in De De Pyaar De. She also starred in Netflix’s Scoop. She wrote that actors inherit their quietness. In her view, older actors believed that sharing opinions would ruin careers. They thought neutrality showed professionalism. They also feared losing jobs if they spoke up. Sood feels it’s time to change this mindset.

The Meaning Of Silence In The Social Media Era

The actor explained that social media changed things. In the past, silence meant a person did not know about an issue. Today, silence means they made a choice to stay quiet. People see every event online. So, staying quiet shows a clear decision.

Sood mentioned activist Sonam Wangchuk and the Jantar Mantar protesters. She said India should support its people before they sacrifice everything. She urged actors and creators to face their fears. They can speak online or visit the protests in person.

Industry Members Support Her Message

Sood asked people to care about something at the end of her post. She told them to choose a belief and speak about it. She believes artists do not have to keep this quiet legacy.

Several other film workers supported her post. Actors like Dia Mirza, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, Ayesha Raza, and Nakuul Mehta liked or shared her thoughts.
