New Delhi, June 13 On 13.06.19 a high level review meeting on progress of Dedicated Freight Corridor was held among officers of North Central Railway and Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation India Limited (DFCCIL). This meeting chaired by Sri Rajiv Chaudhry, General Manager, North Central Railway was attended by Principal Heads Of Departments from North Central Railway headquarter, Divisional Railway Manager, Allahabad with his team and officers from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation India Limited.
Sharad Mehta, Principal Chief Engineer, North Central Railway welcomed all officers in this meeting, thereafter General Manager addressed the gathering. Anurag Sachan, MD/DFCCIL, Anshuman, Director PP DFCCIL and Chief Brief Engineer, North Central Railway coordinated the power point presentation covering targets of Dedicated Freight Corridor works over North Central Railway territory. Besides targets, coordination issues among various executing agencies were also discussed and finalised.
Amitabha, Divisional Railway Manager, Allahabad requested for allotment of additional track maintenance machines to maintain connecting yards of railway tracks to Dedicated Freight Corridor route. North Central Railway and DFCCIL agreed to open Bhaupur and Khurja Section of DFC by Nov -19 which will ease super saturated trunk route of NCR between Kanpur- New Delhi through shifting of freight trains from Indian Railway to Dedicated Freight Corridor route. This will not only help N.C.Rly to run passenger services more efficiently with improved punctuality but will also ensure availability of more time for track & other asset maintenance thus enhanced safety in train operations .
Both N.C.Railway and DFCCIL agreed that works related with construction of ROB, RUB/LHS will be done on war footing to facilitate road users while ensuring less detention to trains. Targets and issues related to balance DFC works on N.C.Rly territory was also discussed and finalised.
Chaudhry emphasised that DFC being project of National importance, it’s early commissioning be monitored closely and proper bar charts & other management tools to monitor progress of project be utilised. General Manager congratulated officers of Allahabad division, construction wing and DFCCIL for timely commissioning of works at Maitha and other stations related to DFC in Bhaupur – Khurja section.
