Governor of Haryana bestowed POWERGRID with the Best CSR Practices during COVID-19Prevention award at the 75th Independence Day celebration in Gurugram. The award was received by POWERGRID Director (Personnel) V K Singh.
POWERGRID on 14.08.2021 commissioned an Oxygen Plant for Haryana Govt. at a cost of ₹2.88 cr. under its CSR initiative. The Oxygen plant with a capacity of 1660 LPM (Litres per Minute) can cater to 100 COVID patients or fill up 250 jumbo Oxygen cylinders per day in Gurugram.
During the lockdown due to COVID pandemic about ₹1.5 crores worth dry ration, medical equipment and PPE kits were distributed among the migrant labours and needy people in Haryana. POWERGRID also provided 06 nos. Advanced Life-support Ambulances to Govt. hospitals in the state.
