New Delhi, Oct 30 Atanu Chakraborty, the Department of Economic Affairs secretary, has been given additional charge of Department of Expenditure following G.C. Murmu’s appointment as first Lieutenant Governor (LG) of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said he will be acting as the secretary of DoE till a permanent appointment is made and will see through all the pre-Budget and revised estimates meetings currently going on in the Ministry.
The meetings of the Ministries and Departments with the Expenditure Secretary involves discussions on the total funds required for various programmes and schemes, along with receipts of the Departments.
