New Delhi, 10.02.2022: On 08.02.2022 at about 1540 hrs, during Pre-Embarkation Security Check (PESC) through X-BIS machine at International Security Hold Area (SHA) of Ter-3, IGI Airport, New Delhi, CISF personnel detected 37,700/- USDs worth approximately INR 28,16,340/- and Indian Rupees- 3.5 lakh from the handbag of a lady passenger. She was supposed to travel to Tel Aviv by Air India flight No.AI-139 (STD-1720 hrs) along with her parents. On enquiry, she could not produce any valid document to carry such amount of foreign & Indian currency. The matter was informed to Senior officers of CISF and Customs officials.
Later on arrival of Customs Officials, the said lady passenger along with the recovered foreign & Indian currency worth approximately INR 31,66,340/- was handed over to them for further action in the matter.
