New Delhi, 23.09.2021: On 23.09.2021 at about 0515 hrs, during Pre-Embarkation Security Check (PESC) through X-BIS machine at domestic Security Hold Area (SHA) of Ter-3, IGI Airport, New Delhi, Sub Inspector Nirip Kumar of CISF detected four (04) gold bars, weighing about 300 gm (100×2=200 gm & 50×2=100 gm) from the hand baggage of a passenger later identified as Abdul Majid Mohammed Vtaniya (Indian) arrived from Riyadh Via Doha by Qatar Airways flight No.QR-578 (STA-0155 hrs) and further bound for Ahmedabad by Vistara airlines flight No.UK-959 (STD-0630 hrs).
On enquiry, he could not produce any valid document. The matter was informed to Senior Officers of CISF and Customs Officials. Later, the said passenger along with the detected gold bars worth approximately INR 14 lakh was handed over to Customs Officials for further action in the matter.
