New Delhi, 16 Dec In the wake of violent protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act in south Delhi on Sunday, the Delhi Metro has suspended services at 12 metro stations as precautionary measure.
With protests gathering in other parts of the city, the metro decided to suspend services at GTB, Shivaji Stadium, Patel Chowk, Vishwavidyalaya, Vasant Vihar, Munirka, RK Puram, Sukhdev Vihar, Jamia Millia Islamia, Okhla Vihar, Jasola Vihar and Shaheen Bagh.
Trains will not be halting at these stations as entry and exit gates have been closed.
Earlier in the evening, Delhi metro had suspended services at the Ashram metro station as a precautionary measure.
