New Delhi, April 23: In a key diplomatic engagement, Narendra Modi held wide-ranging talks with Lee Jae Myung at Hyderabad House, focusing on expanding cooperation across trade, finance, shipbuilding, AI, semiconductors, energy, and defence.

The leaders reviewed progress in the India–South Korea Special Strategic Partnership and explored new avenues in critical and emerging technologies, as well as cultural and people-to-people ties. Several MoUs were exchanged covering sectors such as economy, maritime cooperation, digital technology, education, and sports.

Earlier, President Lee paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat and participated in ceremonial events at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The visit, Lee’s first to India as President, is seen as a significant step in deepening bilateral ties rooted in shared democratic values and growing economic engagement.
