Neyveli, May 13: NLC India Limited has launched its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to distribute “Neer Mor” (spiced buttermilk) across key locations in Neyveli, aiming to provide hydration and relief from the summer heat.

The initiative was inaugurated at the Neyveli Arch Gate Bus Stand by Chairman and Managing Director Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, who underscored the company’s continued commitment to community welfare. He also personally distributed buttermilk to commuters during the launch.

Senior officials, including Director (Human Resources) Samir Swarup and Executive Director (Legal, Medical and CSR) DVS Narayana Murthy, were present at the inauguration.

To ensure wider outreach, the programme was simultaneously rolled out at multiple locations, including Central Bus Stand, Pudhukuppam Bus Stand, Block 29 Bus Stand and Mandarakuppam Bus Stand, with senior executives overseeing the launch at each site.

The daily distribution will be carried out in partnership with Aavin, ensuring a steady supply of fresh buttermilk. In addition, purified drinking water will also be made available at the stalls.

The CSR initiative, coordinated by NLCIL’s team of engineers and managers, is expected to benefit thousands of commuters and residents by offering a refreshing and nutritious beverage during peak summer conditions.
