New Delhi, Dec 14: NLC India Ltd, Neyveli is always in forefront to implement ‘Green Initiatives’ to take care of the environment.
As part of the Green Initiatives in line with sustainable practices being promoted by Ministry of Coal, Govt of India for maximizing the ‘Waste to Wealth Concept’ in utilization of natural sources and minimizing the impact on environment and River eco-system,Bhoomi Puja for the proposed OB to M-Sand Plant at Mine-IA,Neyveli was performed on 12.12.2023 in presence of Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD/NLCIL, Functional Directors, Executive Directors and Senior Officials of NLCIL.
This plant is expected to produce Civil construction Grade M-Sand of 2.62 Lakh Cubic meter per year from Mine Overburden and it is very important in view of the scarcity of natural sand.
The plant is expected to be operationalized by end of January 2024. Similar and higher capacity plants will be installed in other Mines at Neyveli, in due course.Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD/NLCIL said that already the contract has been awarded for execution and this environment friendly green initiative would be further expanded in future.
