PIDPI resolution information centre inaugurated at NLCIL as part OF VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK – 2023

Neyveli, Sep 30 The Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) resolution authorizes Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) as ‘Designated Agency’ to receive written complaints from general public on any allegation of corruption and misuse of office by any employee of the Central Government or any other Corporation, Company, Society etc. owned or controlled by Central Government. Under the PIDPI resolution, the identity of the complainant is kept secret and complainant is protected from victimization for making such complaints.

Setting up the PIDPI Information Centre is part of the precursor to Vigilance Awareness Week- 2023 undertaken in the three-month campaign from August16th, 2023 to November 15th, 2023.

NLC India Limited is observing the Vigilance Awareness Week-2023, as per the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission. As part of this, a “Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers” (PIDPI) Information Centre was inaugurated by CMD Shri Prasanna KumarMotupalli on 30.09.2023 in Main Bazaar, Neyveli in the presence of CVO Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy IRSE and Functional Directors Dr. Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines) & Finance (Addl.Charge) and Shri Samir Swarup, Director (HR).

The salient features of the PIDPI Information Centre are – a PIDPI Awareness Certificate Point, Selfie Point and a Signature Wall. A Street Playand a rally were organised to create awareness about PIDPI. During the occasion, CMD, CVO, FDs led the rally, signed on the wall and took selfies.
