Distribution of Hygiene Kits across Assam by Pipeline Sphere, Oil India Limited during Swachhata Pakhwada 2023

New Delhi, July 15: Oil India Limited is fully committed to Prime Minister’s flagship programme ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’. In this regard, Pipeline Sphere, OIL has rigorously undertaken various activities during Swachhata Pakhwada of Year 2023 in order to supplement Government’s efforts towards Clean India.

This year during Swachhata Pakhwada from 1st to 15th July 2023, in association with various NGOs and Civic bodies, distribution of hygiene kits amongst the 500 beneficiaries across Assam, especially women and children was undertaken by Pipeline Sphere, OIL. Each hygiene kit comprised of bathing soaps, detergent soaps, toothpaste, toothbrush, nail cutter, handwash, antiseptic cream, sanitary pads and for nutrition,a packet of millets.

It is noteworthy to mention that 1000 sanitary pads, ‘Pahi’ was sourced from Milijuli SHG under OIL’s Project Shakti, Duliajan, the CSR initiative which supports livelihood of rural women and the ‘Millets’ were specially packed for Oil India Limited & sourced from Bodoland FPO, Kokrajhar, in keeping with the Farm to Plate concept.

Pipeline Sphere, OIL has also beenguided by Prime Minister’s vision of “India at the forefront of popularizing Millets, whose consumption furthers nutrition, food security and welfare of farmers” during the year 2023 which has been declared as the International Year of Millets.

OIL, Pipeline Sphere, distributed hygiene kits to 200 patients at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi T B Hospital, Birubari, Guwahati through SMC89 & LGB TB Hospital. The gathering of patients primarily from lower income group was addressed and encouraged to inculcate cleanliness for their health and hygiene. Alongside distributing 200 Hygiene kits, OIL, Pipeline Sphere was registered for Ni-Kshay Mitra for 33 numbers of patients and was certified as supporters towards eliminating tuberculosis in India.
