SSB Jawans Taught How To Prevent And Reduce Stress In Regular Life Workshop, Kaartik Gupta

A 2 days workshop on Stress Management was organized from 8th – 9th June 2023 at Sashastra Seema Bal, Frontier Headquarters SSB Guwahati, in collabora- tion with S.S.W. Gyan Sarovar, Mount Abu, Rajasthan. This stress management workshop was organized to teach the employees how to prevent and reduce stress in regular life.

The 1-day workshop on the Prevention of Suicide and Fratricide was organized by Dr. Maithili Hazarika, Associate Professor, Clinical Psycholo- gist, Gauhati Medical College, and Dr. Kartik Gupta, Clinical Psychologist, AKGsOVIHAMS in the presence of Sanjeev Sharma, Inspector General, Frontier Headquarters Guwahati.

In this workshop, they briefed about the increasing cases of suicide cases among the Jawans and made them aware of how to prevent it. As well as they also gave detailed information about Fratricide and how knowingly or unknowing-ly Security Force personnel kill their comrades who are serving side by side. After the workshop, Sanjeev Sharma, Inspector General, presented mementos to both the resource persons as a mark of respect. BS Jaswal, DIG, Sonam Bodh, DIG, Dr. Salinder Kaur, DIG (Med) all officers of Ftr Guwahati, and Medical officers and force personnel from all units of SSB also attended the workshop.
