CISF restores the bag containing cash INR 1,08,000/- & valuables to the rightful owner at Dwarka Sec-21, Metro Station

12cisf csrNew Delhi, 12.10.2021: On 11.10.2021 at about 11:15 hrs, while performing screener duty at Dwarka Sec-21 metro station, CISF personnel noticed an unclaimed bag lying on the output roller of x-ray machine. He asked the passerby passengers, but no one came forward to claim the bag. Immediately, the unclaimed bag was checked from security point of view and CCTV footage was reviewed. After ascertaining that there was no dangerous/hazardous item inside the bag, it was opened.

On opening the bag, cash amounting to INR 1,08,000/-  and two (02) passports were found inside the bag. The bag along with cash & valuables was deposited with the Station Controller and announcement was made at the station/nearby stations in this regard.

After some time, a passenger later identified as Munish Kumar, aged about 54yrs, R/O Anand Vihar, Delhi came at security check point and claimed the bag. He was brought to the Station Controller Room, where he informed that he forgot to collect his bag, after putting the same for x-ray screening. After proper verification, the bag containing cash amounting to INR INR 1,08,000/- & valuables were restored to Munish Kumar. On getting his bag along-with cash and valuables intact, he thanked CISF and appreciated the alertness & honesty displayed by CISF personnel.
