On Hindi Diwas, OilIndians pledge to contribute promoting use of Hindi

September 14, 2021 Duliajan: Oil India Limited organized the official language pledge taking ceremony on 14th September 2021. Prasanta Borkakoti, Resident Chief Executive, OIL administered the pledge to the employees at Duliajan today. The pledge was also administered in all offices of OIL in various spheres across India.

India celebrates Hindi Diwas on September 14 every year to mark Hindi’s adoption as an official language of the nation on this day in 1949. Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India,for the first time this year initiated the pledge taking on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

OIL as a commitment towards promoting official language Hindi in the Company has taken several noteworthy steps. OIL has been celebrating the month of September every year as Rajbhasha Mahotsav with a view to inculcate the inclination towards use of official language Hindi in official work. During the Rajbhasha Mahotsav, various creative competitions are being organized among the employees and their dependents. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Rajbhasha Gyan Competition was also organized today.
