OIL Team Wins 39th PSPB Interunit Golf Tournament

Oil India Limited hosted the 39^th PSPB Inter Unit Golf Tournament at Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida during December 5-8, 2018. About 88 golfers from member PSUs participated in the tournament which was inaugurated by Shri Rajiv Bansal, IAS, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Petroleum & NG. The tournament witnessed stiff competition amongst talented national and international level golfers. Board level Directors and other executives from member PSUs participated with equal enthusiasm and show cased their golfing talent during the tournament.

OIL’s Team ’A’ comprising of Pranavi Urs, Annika Verma, Hari Mohan Singh, Anant Ahlawat and Varun Parikh won the coveted Championship Trophy. OIL’s Team ‘B’ comprising of Sifat Sagoo, Simarjeet Singh, HS Kang, Shravan Desai andRaghav Chugh emerged as the Runners Up in Gross Score. ONGC Team A finished 3^rd.

The PSPB Presidents Trophy for Board level executives was won by Mrs. R.S. Borah, Director (Finance), OIL and Shri S Jeyakrishnan, Director (Marketing), HPCL. Several individual skill based prizes were also won by OIL’s golfers and also by golfers from IOC (AOD), ONGCL and IOCL.

The best player of the tournament was young Pranavi Urs of OIL who shot two steady rounds of 70 to total 140 (4 under). The prizes were awarded to the winners in a befitting closing ceremony function held on 8^th December 2018.

The closing ceremony was graced by Shri Sunjay Sudhir, IFS, Joint Secretary (IC), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas as Chief Guest. The flawless conduct of the tournament and the hospitality extended by OIL as hosts was appreciated by one and all.
