The HRD, Centre for Excellence, NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company has organized a 03-Day programme on ‘Design and Construction of Hydropower Projects’ at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad during September 10th – 12th, 2018. This is for the first time NHPC has organized training programme for the external organizations in this scale wherein the programme has been exclusively facilitated by the Design and Engineering experts of NHPC.
The programme was inaugurated by Balraj Joshi, CMD, NHPC along with N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel) and M.K. Mittal, Director (Finance). Speaking on the occasion Balraj Joshi, CMD, NHPC stressed on preparation of a strong strategy with robust technology and innovation for the development of hydropower keeping in view of emerging business dynamics.
N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel), NHPC said that, such programme creates an opportunity to share NHPC’s Best Practices of Development of Hydro Power Projects with the executives of other hydropower organizations.
M.K. Mittal, Director (Finance), NHPC emphasized the need of making projects commercially viable. The training programme received excellent response and witnessed wide participation from the executives of leading organizations such as THDC, SJVNL, CWC, UJVNL, NEEPCO, CVPPPL, Manipur State Power Corporation Limited and Jai Prakash Associates Limited.
