As part of the World Tribal Day (August 9th) Celebrations, a mega blood donation camp was organized by NLC Schedule Tribe Employee’s Welfare Federation at Federation Building, Block-27, Neyveli on 21.08.2018. Shri R.Vikraman, Director (Human Resource), NLCIL, the Chief Guest inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp.
In his inaugural address, Shri R. Vikraman said that the World Tribal Day is such an event where one should feel proud of their ancestors and culture they belongs to and it is an occasion to review the progress. He congratulated ST federation members for organizing such a noble program and appreciated the members who were turned for donating blood for a greater cause the society. He insisted that the blood donation is one of the noblest services one can do for the humanity. Perhaps there is no task in this world that is greater than the task of saving life.
More than 75 members of NLC Schedule Tribe Employee’s Welfare Federation, including their family members overwhelmingly volunteered for the Blood Donation and Medical Team from Vriudhachalam ,Government Hospital coordinated the medical camp and collected the donors Blood.
Shri S.R Sekar,General Manager / T.A, Dr.Munendra Kumar Jha, General Superintendent/Medical and other senior officials and representatives of Welfare Associations participated the occasion.
Shri K. KanagaRaju, President, Shri. B. Kanagaraj. General Secretary and Shri L. Jayaraman of NLC ST Federation spoke on the occasion .
