New Delhi, May 22 : Country’s largest bank SBI today reported a 23% jump in net profit at Rs 3,742 crore for the quarter ending March 2015. It was Rs 3,041 crore for the same period a year ago.
Gross NPA during the quarter was at 4.25% as against 4.9% in the previous quarter.
The net NPA was at 2.1% as compared to 2.8% in the quarter ending December 2014.
At 1320 hours on Friday, the lender’s stocks on BSE were trading 5% higher at a near 52-week high of Rs 304 apiece.
