New Delhi, March 12 : India’s oldest operating Refinery , Digboi Refinery has received the 2014 “Sreshtha Suraksha Puraskar” under manufacturing sector category for the year 2014 . The Award was presented by Shri Bandaru Dattatreya , Honourable Minister of State (Independent Charge),Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt of India at a function organized in Delhi. Shri SPS Jolly , ED HS&E,RHQ and Digboi Refinery team, Shri H.L. Arya, GM(HE&E), Shri Jibanta Borgohain, DGM(HS&&E) & Shri S. Senkumar, SM(F&S) received the award from the honorable Minister in presence of a distinguished gathering from the Manufacturing Industries of the country.
The dedicated and focused efforts by the team Digboi Refinery in a structured and progressive pursuit with outstanding performance in maintaining the industrial safety has brought this prestigious national recognition to the Corporation
Two other units of IndianOil Northern Region Pipelines and Bongaigaon Refinery received Prashansa Patra for their Safety performances.
