A 75-year-old grandmother became a social media star after she joined a protest in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. People call the elderly woman ‘dadi’. She walked into the protest area with a bright smile. She held a red plastic fan in her hand to beat the heat.

A video online shows a sweet conversation between her and a young man. The man jokingly tells her to go home so she stays safe. But she smiles. She says she came to watch and support the young protestors. She tells them, “May you succeed.” Her great energy flabbergasted many viewers. Reports state that she traveled all the way from Ghaziabad to support the youth.

An online user with the handle ‘casual_sid’ posted the video on X. The post got more than 299,000 views in just one day. Many people left comments under the clip. They called her brave and inspiring. Others said we need to protect her because she is kind and strong.

The Reason For The Protest

The Cockroach Janta Party, or CJP, started this protest over a month ago. They want Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign because of the recent NEET paper leak. The protestors marched towards the Parliament on Monday, July 20. After the march, CJP leaders met BJP leader JP Nadda to hand over their list of demands.

Many local people are helping the protestors. They send food and water to Jantar Mantar. Citizens are showing great support during this movement.
