Beijing, Dec 26 Tremors were felt in the national capital early on Saturday after an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted the central Asia region near Afghanistan, the US Geological Survey said.
The tremors were also felt in Kashmir and other parts of north India, Xinhua reported.
The epicentre, with a depth of 203.52 km, was initially determined to be at 36.5148 degrees north latitude and 71.1354 degrees east longitude.
There has been no report of casualty or damage so far in the country.
