CISF organised Covid Vaccine Booster Dose Special drive Camp

New Delhi 12.01.2022 : CISF warriors have being dealing with the Covid-19 menace, particularly at DMRC, Delhi and Airports as front liners in-spite of the highest vulnerability due to exposure and contacts with the passengers. CISF personnel working at DMRC are at the forefront in ensuring smooth operations of lifeline of Delhi- Delhi Metro. More than 12000 personnel are deployed in DMRC unit of CISF to ensure safety of passengers and property of Delhi Metro that connect the Delhi to neighbouring districts of UP and Haryana and provides mass rapid transit to more than 35 lakh passengers in Delhi.

To combat raging wave of Covid Pandemic and to ensure safety and good health of its personnel performing duties at Delhi Metro, a special drive camp for administering Covid vaccine booster has been organised at Shashtri Park campus of CISF unit DMRC. The camp was inaugurated on 9th January, 2022. A team of doctors from East Delhi District along with civil defence volunteers is running two centers for administration of booster dose to CISF personnel. More than 2500 personnel of CISF Unit DMRC have been administered booster dose of vaccine till date. CISF aims to cover all eligible personnel of DMRC under the protection of the booster vaccine by 20^th January, 2022.

At the Shashtri park camp an additional counter for vaccination of eligible wards (children between age 15-18) of personnel has also been opened which is also witnessing good turnout.

CISF, being a Central Armed Police Force with a pan India presence and the largest public interface, has already vaccinated over 9,000 of its personnel with the Booster Dose across the country to enhance protection against Covid-19 infection. The booster dose vaccination drive is running across all the 353 CISF Units including 64 Airports, Our Booster Dose vaccination drive will ensure that 100% of our eligible personnel are inoculated at the earliest.
