New Delhi, July 01 : IndianOil‘s Northern Region (NR) and Delhi State Office (DSO) on Wednesday launched Swachhta Pakhwada 2026, a fortnight-long cleanliness campaign to be observed from July 1 to July 15, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the Swachh Bharat Mission and environmental sustainability.

The campaign was inaugurated in New Delhi by Sailesh Kumar, Assistant Director, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG), and Hemant Rathore, Executive Director, Northern Region & State Head, Delhi State Office, IndianOil, with the administration of the Swachhta Pledge, reaffirming the commitment to cleanliness and responsible civic behaviour.

As part of the launch, the dignitaries flagged off the “Swachhta Rath” from Green Park, New Delhi, which will travel across the city to create public awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, waste management, and the reduction of single-use plastics.

The awareness campaign will engage citizens through public outreach programmes and Nukkad Nataks (street plays), encouraging community participation in maintaining clean surroundings and adopting environmentally responsible practices.

To reinforce the message of environmental conservation, the dignitaries also planted and distributed saplings, highlighting the importance of expanding green cover and promoting sustainable living alongside cleanliness initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Hemant Rathore urged employees and stakeholders to actively participate in the campaign and contribute towards realizing the vision of a “Swachh Bharat” through individual responsibility and collective action.
